Conversations On Practice with Ambika and Brooke Welsh

  • Brooklyn Kirtan Collective Facebook Page (map)

Many of us experience loneliness and depression, and on top of that we often feel ashamed and embarrassed about it, which then isolates us further. Ambika and longtime friend Brooke Welsh talk about their personal experiences with loneliness and depression and how spiritual practice can support us - what it can and cannot do. They discuss some of the difficulties and hindrances many of us encounter on (and off) the spiritual path, and tell stories about their guru, Sri Siddhi Ma. This event includes chanting and time at the end for questions & responses. Join us live on the Brooklyn Kirtan Collective Facebook Page and on Ambika’s YouTube Channel.

Brooke began practicing yoga in 1998, and has been teaching for nearly as long. Hatha yoga quickly became a doorway leading to her discovery of mind/body healing modalities and spiritual practices. The cultivation and refinement of her studies and practices have become as much of a journey for her as her life itself. It is from this place that she extends her offerings and teachings. Based in Philadelphia, she teaches group classes, workshops & private sessions by appointment (via zoom, out doors and in person). brookewelshyoga.com
